I want to get in good enough shape that I could run a half marathon whenever I want without it being a big deal.

I am a receational runner and an outdoorsman. I believe that in order to fully enjoy my hobbies I need to be in good shape and have a healthy lifestyle.
I ran after work. I was very tired so I didn't enjoy the run very much. This is my first run of a 16 week half-marathon training program that I am doing.
I had a good run this morning. It was very cold but I went anyway. I had to delay my run until today because there was a snowstorm yesterday and I didn't want to run on the roads when they were being plowed.
