I want to get in good enough shape that I could run a half marathon whenever I want without it being a big deal.

I am a receational runner and an outdoorsman. I believe that in order to fully enjoy my hobbies I need to be in good shape and have a healthy lifestyle.
Woke up this morning to snow in Logan. I went for a nice 2 mile run in the fieldhouse. I completed the run in about 17:48 sec I then spend about 15 minutes doing some weight training. Low weight high rep.
I ran two miles around the track at the fieldhouse. I ran a little slower than i did a couple days ago, my shin was kind of giving me problems. After I ran I went and lifted weights for a little while. I also did the plank rest for 1 minute.
