I want to get in good enough shape that I could run a half marathon whenever I want without it being a big deal.

I am a receational runner and an outdoorsman. I believe that in order to fully enjoy my hobbies I need to be in good shape and have a healthy lifestyle.
I had a really good workout this morning. I thought that it was going to be a lot harder than it was because of my long run two days ago, but it ended up being pretty easy. My legs didn't get sore. I average pace was 9 min 38 seconds per mile.
My run felt pretty good this morning. I increased my pace for about half of it, so I got a little winded near the end. I had an average pace of 9 min 36 sec per mile.
I ran 10 miles this morning. I felt pretty good considering I was runnning in the rain for about half of it. My timing device stopped working while I was running so I don't know exactly how long it took but it was arund 2 hrs 15 min for an average pace of around 13 min per mile.
